Employed Personnel - Longitudinal FTE of Personnel, Statewide by Role
Methodology:
This report summarizes personnel employed in Texas public schools by percentage of day in each role (e.g. Librarian, Teacher, Counselor) for a series of years. In this report, if a person fills a Teacher slot for ½ the day and a Counselor slot for ½ the day, the person's time is summarized into each row as .5 FTE in the Teacher role and .5 FTE in the Counselor role.
This report does not include auxiliary staff, such as food service workers, school crossing guards, secretaries, bus drivers, clerks, etc.
This report does not include Texas School for the Blind or Visually Impaired or Texas School for the Deaf staff.

Data Elements:
Role. The role identifies the capacity in which a person serves. Examples of roles are Teacher, Art Therapist, and Superintendent.
FTE. Full Time Equivalents (FTEs) are calculated in the following manner:
FTE = Percent of Day Employed divided by 100.
School Year. The reporting period consisting of the fall, spring, and summer semesters that begins generally in September and runs through the following August. Fall 2001, spring 2002 and summer 2002 comprise school year 2001-2002, also referred to as school year 2002.
